The city resort will bring a new dimension of classic European luxury and style infused with French flair to Abu Dhabi. It will aim to increase the attention garnered towards the luxury sector in Abu Dhabi, as well as provide a lavish experience for visitors; whether it is for recreational or for business purposes.
The project will consist of a 5-star hotel including 184 rooms with suites, private fitness amenities, cafes, restaurants and other related facilities.
In October 2011, National Corporation for Tourism and Hotels signed an agreement with Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank to finance the project.
Germany’s Oetker Collection was the operator, but formally withdrew from the contract to operate Hotel Le Bristol Abu Dhabi in 2013.
The project was on hold till the first quarter of 2015, after which Ehaf Consulting Engineers was awarded the lead design consultant contract. Scope of work will include:
Bin Jarra Al Fayed Foundation Company (BJAFCO) is going to be handling the foundation works on the site for the scheme.
InterContinental Hotels Group will be managing and operating the hotel.
