Project Overview
Background
Public Works Authority (Ashghal) plans to construct P22 Al Khor Bypass of Doha expressway project in north-east, Qatar. Upon completion, the Expressway will improve traffic flow, increase safety, reduce congestion and lessen travel times, as well as provide improved environmental outcomes.
Scope of Work
Construction of a 35 km expressway with four major junctions, three running lanes and one hard shoulder on either side of the central median.
Finance
Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is the client.
Additional Notes
The project will be created on a design-build-operate (DBO) contract basis.
The Doha Expressway is Qatar's first freeway and is a significant infrastructure project being carried out in the country. It will provide a modern road network throughout the urban and rural parts of the city of Doha.
