Project Overview


Background

Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communication (MOTC) plans to build Musandam Airport in Oman. The project will enhance tourist flows and will create economic activities in the governorate. The project includes a 250,000 passengers per year terminal, it will be built with two runways, terminal, taxiway, an air traffic control tower, service and hangar area suitable for the handling Boeing 737 and Airbus 320 size aircrafts.

  • An air traffic control tower
  • A taxiway
  • Service and hangar area
  • Associated facilities 


Finance

Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communication (MOTC) is the financier of the project with the help of local and international banks.


Additional Notes

Bukha, Lima, Khasab and Al Harf are four locations identified by Oman's Ministry of Transport and Communications as potential candidate sites for the establishment of the new domestic airport in the Musandam Governorate.
