Project Overview
Background
King Faisal Corniche Development Company are constructing The Avenues-Bahrain which will encompass 273,000 square meters in a strategic location with a unique view over 1.5 kilometers with of sea view. 38,000 square meters were assigned to commercial shops which is 15% of the total area. The larger area will be assigned for family entertainment purposes which will feature a running track, children arcade, and entertainment areas, with restaurants and cafes along with a public park with access to the view of the water.
Scope of Work

- Waterfront shopping mall
- 1.5 km stretch waterfront corniche with:
a) Outdoor children's play area
b) Jogging track
c) Outdoor gym sets
d) Restaurants and Cafes
e) Retail outlets
f) Souk area
g) Indoor market
h) Movie theatre

j) Parking space for 1,400 cars
Finance
Kuwait Finance House are providing the $94 million of finance to construct the project.

The client's have decided to limit the verticle space to only one level.
KFCDC is a venture by Bahraini private investors acting in partnership with Kuwait-based M H Alshaya and Mabanee Corporation, owners of The Avenues Kuwait which is billed as one of the largest malls in the world - with more than 800 stores spread over 425,000 square metres.
M H Alshaya is an international retail franchise operator that manages, owns and operates more than 70 international brands and 2,600 outlets in the Middle East and North Africa, Russia, Turkey and Europe.
